Goodbye CORCL
The round CORCL boat became synonymous with summer camp fun, a ubiquitous waterfront option, particularly popular with the youngest campers. Unfortunately, mirroring CORCL’s rise, climate news became increasingly dire. As producers, the team underwent training on the effects of plastic on environmental and human health. The key finding for a better future was clear- make less plastic. Given the choice between being part of the problem or being a small step toward the solution, environmental concerns foregrounded. The CORCL business decided to cease all operations. The decision and explanation were disseminated by a letter placed in national summer camp magazines.
